Susan’s two boys

Susan was looking for  photographs that portrayed the ambitious and rambunctious personalities that defined who the boys really are, and the close relationship that they have.

We rushed these images for  the boys’ grandmother who was in the hospital and had the images available in three days!

Here are just four of our favorites.

Thea

Thea was photographed around her home on Bainbridge Island and also chose to go down to Lytle Beach. Because of the different settings Crystal was able to get some very diverse images.  Thea was photographed with her dog which is something that we strongly encourage.  Adding a pet into your senior portrait session is a great way to get a nice picture of you and your pet, as well as capture the bond that you two share.

Mary

Mary Kirk took some exquisite images and was such a joy to photograph.  She was even able to get a couple of photographs with her cat and with Abby!

Erin & Ashley

Erin and Ashley are used to sharing things in life, but on their joint photoshoot they both were able to spend a fair amount of time with each photographer.  We were able to capture moments of the twins with their horses and even alongside their dog Maggie!

Steffen

Steffen took some really great images on the south end of Bainbridge.  He had a few friends join in for some pictures as well.  We enjoyed his photographs so much that we ordered a canvas of one of his images for our studio to use as an example.

Alex

Alex took some really great images down near the Point White Dock on the south end of Bainbridge.

India & Emma

Emma and India shared a photography session and there were two photographers present at the shoot.  This allowed both girls to get optimum photography time as well as two artistic styles.

Ariel & Emily

Emily and Ariel decided to be photographed together in August.  They were both very fun for us to photograph and their personalities were portrayed through their images.

We had two photographers at the shoot so we were able to catch numerous candid moments.

It rained during the session and we almost got trapped by the incoming tide, but the girls still took some stunning images.  They also brought along sisters and friends to assist with outfit changes.

Michelle Henshaw

Michelle was so easy to photograph and she took really wonderful pictures! We had photographed her sister, Nicole, a few years earlier for her senior portraits and at that time we also photographed Michelle with her sister (and a few cousins!). So, she had a bit of a warm up.

A lot of first time seniors aren’t sure what they need to do to get great images for their senior year.  Here are a few guidelines:

-First of all- trust us to take great images of you because we have a great track record for creating wonderful images of everyone. Our clients always have a difficult time narrowing down their choices. We love this, because we want you to have strong images to choose from to get just that perfect one (or 20, or 30, or 80-yes 80!) images that you just love.
-Choose clothing that you love to wear, that is comfortable, that you feel good in and that you look good in.
-Choose a location that means something to you. A favorite beach or park that you hang out at with your friends, a place or friends home that you think is beautiful and even at home where it is not only convenient and private, but also has strong childhood memories. Choose what feels right to you.
It doesn’t matter to us about where we photograph, Crystal can find the best quality of light and best background that will compliment, contrast or blend with what your wearing. One of our favorite stories is a senior who chose her yearbook image that was taken in front of their compost area. Crystal loved the colors and created the image to have the colors blur behind her. The senior and mom loved the image-trust us, we can get a great image anywhere!
-Relax-but just a little! We want you to be relaxed but we also need you to participate. It takes teamwork to get great images and mostly what we need from you is the desire for great images and we will do the rest.

Michelle enjoyed her images so much that she ordered a folio of 8 prints, a mini album (which holds 20), prints for home and some to use as family gifts.  And of course the really cool high key black and white canvas-for a total of 28/32 different images!

Michelle now works as a high school representative for Crystal Photography.  See her for special promotions and a set of complimentary wallets!
